Bike Team NewBornMom.com - Takes on Manhattan !
 There are two things that are incredibly important to us here at NewBornMom - one is the significance of living "green", and another is the importance of being charitable.
This fall Nick Sharp, husband to NBM co-founder Aliette, will be leading Team NewBornMom.com in Bike MS New York City . This annual bike ride in which many of Manhattan's main roads including the FDR, West Side Highway and Lincoln Tunnel are closed, is celebrating its 25th year. Participants can choose to ride 30, 60 or 100 miles; of course we are proud to say our team is going for the 100 mile ride!
In the past 24 years, Bike MS has raised over $15 million toward creating a world free of MS. With one of Nick's good friends diagnosed with MS the ride takes on personal significance, so this year NBM has made a special effort to contribute to this cause. In the coming months we will be following Nick as he raises funds, and prepares for his adventure around the streets of Manhattan.
Donate and Win !!! Every person who donates to "team NewBornMom.com" will be automatically entered for a chance to win a $100 giftcard to our store. The day after the MS bike ride a name will be randomly picked from the "fundraising honor roll". The amount of your donation (big or small) will not help or hinder your chances of winning. Age Minimum: 12+ (Participants between ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a guardian and submit a notarized waiver). If you are under the age of 18, you can only participate in the 30 mile route option.

 At NewBornMom we're always about the "green" , but this month we're all about the "pink". For those of you who don't know....October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year is the 25th anniversary of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure (the largest series of 5k runs in the world with over 1 million participants), an event that raises funds and awareness for the battle against breast cancer. These races bring people from all walks of life together (cancer does not discriminate) to celebrate survivorship, and remember those who lost their lives to this disease. In honor of this cause, we are running a store-wide "pink" promotion. Every pink-colored item has 15% off until the end of the month!
